Our Mission
Nebraska AALAS is a nonprofit professional organization managed by volunteers in the Laboratory Animal Science community.
NE AALAS provides a local forum for the exchange of information and expertise in the responsible and humane care and use of laboratory animals, which includes a diverse group of laboratory animal professionals such as veterinarians, technicians, researchers, educators, administrative staff, and everyone in between.
Member Benefits
Members are welcome to join our quarterly meetings, which include guest speakers who share about their work, as well as volunteer and outreach opportunities in the community. These events allow opportunities for networking among professionals in multiple areas of animal care, husbandry, and research in both the lab and the field, as well as spreading the word about our work to the public.
We welcome anyone interested in laboratory animal science, including: students, postdocs, PIs, partners/spouses, other AALAS branch members, etc.
